๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿพ Already in UK: HUGOโ€“ A Very Special Soul in Search of a Forever Home ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿถ HUGO - Loyal, Gentle, and Sweet-Hearted Beagle Boy ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ  Looking for Loving, Committed Family ๐Ÿ  ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Bridgnorth, Shropshire WV16 5BY ๐ŸŒŸ RBU and post-adoption support provided ๐ŸŒŸ ADOPTION FEE REDUCED ๐Ÿถ HUGO is a charming around 7-8 months old Beagle puppy with a heart full of love, looking for a family who can offer him the care and understanding he deserves. This tender-hearted boy recently experienced some unexpected health challenges, but heโ€™s shown his resilience and sweetness through it all. In return, he promises loyalty, cuddles, and a lot of love for many years ahead. HUGOโ€™s Story: ๐Ÿถ HUGO arrived in the UK over a month ago, full of hope and excitement for his new life. His adoptive family adored him and found him to be a brilliant companion, gentle with their children and well-behaved. Unfortunately, a few weeks after his arrival, he began showing signs of epilepsy and experienced several seizures. The family requested a move for HUGO to a new home, because they felt their young children were distressed by his condition, and with their work commitments, they felt unable to provide the care Hugo needs. The onset of epilepsy was a shock for everyone involved, especially since HUGO had shown no signs of it prior to his arrival in the UK. Weโ€™ve since learned that the timing aligns with a common period for idiopathic epilepsy in dogs โ€“ a condition that can first appear after six months of age, often triggered during adolescence when hormonal changes increase. For dogs like HUGO, who may be predisposed to epilepsy, excitement and stress due to his trip to IK and getting in a new world, were possibly also act as triggers for seizures. The good news is that epilepsy in dogs is manageable with appropriate treatment, and HUGO has already shown resilience and stability with the right care. Many dogs with mild epilepsy live long, fulfilling lives, often well into their 14-15 teens, when supported with medication. Thankfully, we found an amazing foster family who could step in, and hereโ€™s what they have to say about HUGO after a few weeks together: โ€œHugo is a well-behaved, gentle boy who is toilet-trained and walks nicely on the lead. He gets along great with other dogs and children. Hugo has mild epilepsy, controlled with medication, and it doesnโ€™t hold him back. As a true beagle, he loves keeping his nose to the ground on walks, taking in all the smells, and heโ€™s always up for snuggles on the sofa. The perfect family dog, Hugo would do best with someone at home during the day or another calm dog for company.โ€ ๐Ÿถ HUGOโ€™s epilepsy is controlled with medication. We researched that the routine preventative care for dog with such condition costing around ยฃ40 per month. While we understand that this can be an additional cost for the family, HUGOโ€™s sweet and gentle nature make him worth every bit of care. He is calm, loving, and takes joy in the simple pleasures of lifeโ€”like a good sniff in the garden and a comfy spot to nap. Heโ€™s also incredibly trainable, especially with treats involved, and fully house-trained. He would do best with a patient, loving family, either with experience managing epilepsy in dogs or willing to follow veterinary guidance to keep his condition stable. With HUGO, youโ€™ll get a loyal, affectionate companion who just needs a family ready to support him in return for all the love he offers. ๐Ÿถ HUGO is a one-of-a-kind pup who will bring warmth, loyalty, and gentleness to the right home. If youโ€™re looking for a family dog who just needs a bit of extra care, HUGO is ready to reward your patience and love with his enduring devotion. ๐Ÿพ Letโ€™s find HUGO a home that sees beyond his condition and loves him for the incredible dog he is. ๐Ÿถ Aside from his epilepsy, HUGO is healthy with all core vaccinations up to date and microchipped. He is C.Brucella tested (his new family will receive a licensed laboratory certificate).
