Description

šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ AVAILABLE-little 6.9kg Arthur 3yr old lad is looking for a human memory foam to mould into 2nd Chance Adoptions Diddy Arthur landed in the U.K. around the 28th January with his tiny paws running towards his future- big personality - not big because of his confidence but because heā€™s always meant so little to everyone. Heā€™s been worthless his whole life (until now) & the tragedy is that wee Arthur knows it so he clings on (quite literally) to any morsel of affection. Thatā€™s what makes his presence known & his character unique. Before he left for England Arthur was cruelly kept on a short chain in a dark barn. Now calculate how many months, weeks, days & hours he was left there isolated & sad from a baby until now & try & comprehend how he is here at all. I donā€™t know how he manages to put his faith in humans. The insecurities he feels around for example other animals, being left alone or thinking heā€™ll lose the only kindness heā€™s ever known will leave his mind in time- time that he hasnā€™t had yet. I canā€™t imagine what his existence was before liberation but his worry that he is going to be solitary again can only evoke the deepest empathy. He thinks he will be taken away & put back in the barn where he went without food & care. These are the nightmares he must keep. Heā€™s been through so much already and keeps bouncing back including his little Willy having to undergo an operation in the U.K. to keep it in. He always liked to display his ā€˜bitsā€™ when embracing his new life & a few stitches sorted it and he left BG with it nicely tucked away as seen in his showcase. In England on arrival it was out too much & he needed an adjustment to get him on the right road. How anxious it must have made him feel & the cone is enough humiliation to last a life time. The point is that Arthur was good at the vets and didnā€™t react - just barked for the world to know he was there & he was passed with a good bill of health - so he gets a medal both ends- Europe & in the U.K. This is really an added bonus for anyone wanting to adopt him. The bloods we did in Europe including brucellosis were satisfactory to the U.K. vet. Certainly we wish heā€™d chosen a better time to let it all hang out so to speak because the rescuer covered the cost of the surgery which compared to the EU was impacting. At least heā€™s priceless to someone now. Due to mitigating circumstances diminutive Arthur isnā€™t able to stay in his new home. We thank the owner for giving him an opportunity and looking after him during that period which was stressful for both & they kindly covered sone of the pre op costs. Arthurā€™s ā€˜must havesā€™ are listed below and his showcase clearly reflects his desires and incurable charisma. For the person out there who really wants to bond heā€™s perfect. If you have a need to be needed - this Conker coloured mite is the boy for you. Youā€™ll be his whole world. He just wishes to be somebody elseā€™s. Must haves ā— Arthur needs someone to be at home (not at work) so youā€™d be retired, working from home or at your residence throughout the day through personal circumstances (whilst still active enough to meet his needs) ā— He requires someone who can bend down to pick him up until he realises that holding on to people isnā€™t going to be the key to success. He will learn that independence & canine company doesnā€™t make him vulnerable. Socialising with doggy friends occasionally & contentment in his own space doesnā€™t have to replace his reliance on humans completely. Itā€™s just about striking a healthy balance between the two. Heā€™s made to be someoneā€™s ā€˜babyā€™ & however that developed whether part nature or from the abuse he suffered, in the right hands his sensitivity can be nurtured & embraced ā— Arthur didnt know what to do with himself because heā€™d never had the opportunities that every animal should be able to take for granted- he needs compassion, understanding, love & above all time. Heā€™s already flourishing canting through the busy city of Romford so there are few nuances for an owner to support him through. As his current adopter said themselves;- ā€˜if it wasnā€™t for them heā€™d be perfectā€™. Imperfect Arthur is perfect & when he blossoms heā€™ll be like us humans ā€˜beautiful but flawedā€™ ā— Arthur can live with other dogs & was interacting as you can see with puppies and older pooches in Europe & currently lives with several boys & girls. Heā€™ll need a family/ pack dynamic that allows for him to be attached to people & learn from his counterparts. For that reason a garden or outside space will be beneficial because where better for the doggies to scent and snuffle than in a convoy in the great outdoors? ā— Walks are a definite and despite his history on a chain Arthur walked on a lead in the EU without training & isnā€™t defined by his past in that respect. Heā€™s virtually crufts on a leash ā— Dog trained children who can respect his vulnerabilities are fine ā— Cats heā€™s been around in the barn & when abandoned His qualities and credentials DOB: 1.1.22 (in passport & a vetinary estimation) AGE: Approximately 3yrs old Size: from paw ground level to very top of head approxā€™ 42cm, length from neck to base tail 42cm, around chest (harness measurement) 46cm Sex: male Weight: 6.9kg Handling, dressing (coats for outside) harness fitting etc. Currently living with dogs Living with men & women Generates towards females though currently has eyes for a male Toys Commitment fee & home check applies Official rescue Early enquiries welcome We practice non-discrimination subject to checks RBU subject to contract
