Description
Mabel is our wonderful, loving, and gorgeous miniature dachshund. She is due to have her second litter of 5/6 puppies (as per scan performed on April 7th).
Mabel had her first litter of puppies in September 2024, and we had a mixed litter of 3 boys and 2 girls. Silver dapples, black & tans, and tricolours. All pups were healthy and left for their new homes as expected, with Mum doing a fantastic job of feeding and raising them all to perfect weights until 6 weeks and then solids from 8 weeks.
The pups are due May 10th, 2025, so they will be ready to leave Mum on July 10th, 2025. They will then be just under 9 weeks old. This advert is to gain interest only at this point, and once the puppies are born, an update on their D.O.B. and boys/girls will be added. We like to let the puppies leave at 9 weeks old, as this gives them an extra week with us in a settled environment, allowing us to ensure they are all healthy from their first jab and vet checks completed.
The first vaccination/health check from the vet will be given when they reach 8 weeks old, then they will be monitored by us until 9 weeks of age. We will be more than happy to send regular photos, FaceTime calls, and videos of the puppies from birth. Once the puppies reach 6 weeks of age, we are happy to accept viewings.
Mum is a silver dapple miniature smooth-haired dachshund. She is very rare as she has one blue eye and one brown eye. She has reached her maximum adult weight of 4.8kg, so we are expecting these puppies to be true miniatures. Dad is an Isabella-Tan smooth-haired miniature dachshund with green eyes. He weighs 7.2kg and is all healthy, with both Mum and Dad being up to date with all vaccinations and flea and worming treatments. He can be seen also, as he is our family dog!
Ours are very sociable; they love a cuddle, nice walks, and sleepy time on the sofa (or your bed!!). We have 3 children over the age of 9, so the pups will be well-socialised with all the noises around the home, along with toilet training inside and out in our garden. They will be handled with care from birth by us adults and the children.
Please contact me if you want to give one of these pups a new home! Pups will come with a microchip, as by law. Along with their first vaccination, a puppy pack including a blanket, pet food for a week, puppy treats, and a toy. Blankets will be in with Mum, so they will have her scent for familiarity to help them settle. We can also provide plenty of ongoing advice once they have left for their new homes. Please feel free to get in touch. We are very excited to welcome Mabel's puppies into the world!
We welcome any questions and are fully approachable with any phone calls, messages, and emails. No deposit is required through the Pets4Homes site. We want to meet all new prospective owners in person to ensure these pups are going to the best homes, nothing less than what they deserve! A deposit can then be discussed once viewings take place, around the month of June, to ensure the right pup is chosen, as we know that this can be a hard choice to make. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss any queries. We are more than happy to share pictures from Mabel’s first litter to show how beautiful they were and to give a potential indication of what colours to expect the second time around.
Price is added as an indication for advert purposes, and we can be flexible with this for those who discuss with us nearer the time of the pups being born.
