Hi,
We have a male cockatiel, and a female Kakariki parakeet with a full cage setup, toys, food, snacks, bowls, bird pirches, everything you'd need to begin looking after these two birds.
The Kakariki Is a rarer blue fronted variety, it's not easy to find a blue fronted Kakariki especially a female that can be breeded.
The Kakariki isn't hand tame but will land on your shoulder when the cockatiel lands on you, she isn't aggressive and will just walk/fly away.
The Kakariki isn't very loud at all, she makes cute noises every now and then, she needs to be exercised a lot.
The Cockatiel is a hand tame young male and is bonded with the female Kakariki.
The Cockatiel will fly onto your shoulder, and sit on your legs or stomach if your lying down on the sofa, he doesn't really hands and will just peck you, he doesn't try to hurt you though it's just a tiny peck to warn you off.
Again, the Kakariki chooses when she will land on you.
The Cockatiel is much more sociable with humans and is safe for children if the parents can train the children to be gentle and safe with the bird.
The birds need to have an owner that can spend most of the day and evening with the birds as they require a lot of human interaction.
They need to be exercised / they need a fly twice a day for an hour or two.
They cannot be split up they are a bonded pair and we will only sell the full setup and will not entertain requests to sell individual birds or the cage etc, please only message if you want the full set up with two birds.
They MUST go to a home with no pets i.e dogs/cats etc.
They need a calm, quiet environment.
