🐶 Enki is a beautiful lilac merle French Bulldog, just under 3 years old, with a big heart and a playful spirit. He has been with his family since August 2024, but due to a drastic change in financial and family circumstances. Despite trying a few rescues, including Dogs Trust and a few others, they were unable to find a rescue to take him 💔

💔 Rescue Story:
🐶 Enki was privately adopted in August 2024 but now faces an uncertain future. His family love him dearly but can no longer afford the care he requires due to changes in their financial situation and personal circumstances. Despite reaching out to multiple rescues, no one could help. Enki needs a safe and loving home where he can continue to thrive.
🐾 Detailed Information:
🐶 Enki is a fantastic family dog, especially with children. He lives with a toddler and is extremely gentle, allowing soft pets and never knocking the child over. He’s also great with a visiting 9-year-old niece. With adults, he’s more excitable and will sometimes jump up but is always friendly. He loves cuddles, playing, and sunbathing in the garden.
🐶 He currently lives with another dog and enjoys rough-and-tumble play. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog of similar or larger size. However, he is not suitable for a home with cats as he chases them and could become too rough.
Fully house-trained, he can be left alone for up for a few hours with no issues. He sleeps well in his crate at night, loves to burrow under blankets, and even tucks himself in.
On walks, he can a bit pull at the start of excitement but calms down fast and improves with a harness. He loves meeting people and other dogs, though sometimes he’s a little too enthusiastic. He has been attacked twice by off-lead dogs but remains friendly. He barks only at the doorbell and dogs on TV.
He knows sit, paw, spin, and wait (for food and doors). He takes food gently but will try to steal food if given the chance. He enjoys tug-of-war, fetch (though sometimes prefers to be chased instead!), and playing with **** toys.
Medical Needs:
🐶 Enki has allergies that can affect his skin, ears,, so he needs cytopoint injections every 4–8 weeks, but maybe another vet can suggest some other treatment. He requires a poultry and grain-free diet and is currently on Pooch & Mutt Health and Digestion. He is prone to ear infections, which are treated with Otomicol ear drops. Due to his short coat, he needs a jacket in winter.
🏡 Ideal Family:
🐶 Enki would thrive in a kind and patient family, with or without children. He would do best in a home with another playful dog of similar size or larger and a secure garden where he can sunbathe and play. Someone willing to keep up with his medical needs is essential. He is not suitable for a home with cats due to his strong prey drive.
🐶 Enki is a sweet, loving companion who deserves a second chance. He is great with children, loves to play, and enjoys cuddling up after a fun day. If you can offer him a home, whether foster or forever, please get in touch as soon as possible!
