We are sadly looking for a new forever home for our beloved boy Dave.
He is a black and white ticked German shorthaired pointer. 7 years old. He is imported from Bulgaria and we have had him since a puppy. He has been our loving family pet aswell as our stud dog.
He was born and raised in kennels in Bulgaria (they do things a little differently to us) and he was so used to this when he arrived that we came to realise that he was happier still being a kennel dog. So he has always been a kennel dog all his life. But I don't see why he couldn't be house trained and brought into the house.
He is good with everybody he meets including children. He is good with female dogs. He may be iffy with males but this is never initiated by him. We have had stud dogs and so our males have always had a bit of beef with eachother over the girls. But he has never been in any fights. It's that they've had beef with him bless him.
He comes from strong Bulgarian working lines but he himself does not work. But although he's a busy dog, anything you ask of him he has great focus and only wants to please you. He has always been a stud dog and has sired many beautiful puppies, he knows his job very well! So he would still make a great asset to a breeding program.
He loves a ball and will play fetch all day! He loves to swim! And will retrieve from water!
He is not good with cats!!
He has a Facebook page dedicated to his puppies!! He's known quite widely! Everyone who meets him loves him!
He is hip scored 3/5 and eye tested.
He is KC reg, and he also has a Bulgarian pedigree and an export pedigree, and a passport. And all of his health test results.
This is an absolutely heartbreaking decision for our entire family, but unfortunately due to a family members Ill health, and us having to move because of this, we have had to make this devastating decision because Dave simply isn't getting the time and attention he deserves anymore!! And that's all we want for him!
We would like to stay in touch with him, and he will only go to the best of homes!! Home more important than price!!
