Description
Gus is our family dog who we had prior to having our youngest son, who has developed an allergy to him, and sadly we have come to the conclusion to rehome Gus to, hopefully, a wonderful new family. This isn't a decision taken lightly, as our son has lived on piriton, to see if he may have got used to it, but the longer we have left it, the flair ups get worse. We did try rehoming Gus about a year ago when it all came to light, but we invested a lot of time into 3 separate potential, wonderful, homes that we specifically picked through dozens of interested people but were, in the end, let down, and as you can imagine the heartache already having to rehome our boy, we decided to try and do everything possible to keep him with us.
So a bit about Gus, he's fully vaccinated, up to date with a flea and worming programme. He's a wonderfully fit and healthy sausage, and spends Monday to Friday at work with me on a farm, so loves the outdoors, but equally loves to snuggle up in he's bed next to the radiator. He is toilet trained, doesn't chew anything other than his own toys. He's completely unspoilt, not allowed on the sofa (boundaries since having a baby) and he doesn't sleep upstairs or on our bed (never has done) He gets on fine with other dogs, almost isn't interested in them after the initial meet, much prefers human interaction. Walks well on a lead and we have always found him great off a lead. He's really quite weary of men, he's from a same sex family so rarely sees men, so he would require someone to be kind and patient with him, and willing to build on that relationship (cheese will help with that!) Although he is used to having a baby around and on the most part is great, there are times when our son has crawled up to his bed whilst he's sleeping and he has grumbled at him, so I would never fully trust him (I know you shouldn't anyway) but because of this I would recommend if he went to a family with children, then the children are old enough to know when to leave alone. With that said, he really is a loving dog, and would massively suit someone who loves being outdoors, going to different places, to climb mountains and walk beaches (already done both of these) as he is really active, and no walk is too long for this super sausage! Any other questions, please ask, but please, serious enquiries only.
