We are so proud and excited to announce our beautiful Braque Du Bourbonnais, Luca, has whelped 8 stunning puppies - 3 males, 5 females following a successful mating with another exceptional example of the breed - Steele de la Lande De Bourberouge.
Both parents are health tested for hips and elbows with excellent scores and have wonderful temperaments.
All puppies have full tails as both parents have full tails and there is a mixture of fawn pups and liver pups in the litter.
Braque Du Bourbonnais are a rare breed to the UK with only approximately 170 in the country. As such, the breed is not yet recorded by the UK Kennel Club however they are by the FCI (Europe) and are very popular on the continent and in the U.S.A.
Both parents and puppies are registered with the Irish Kennel Club which affords the same recognition and pedigree recording as the UK KC.
The Braque Du Bourbonnais is a French pointer/pointing dog from the gundog group, originating from the Bourbonnais region of France. The breed was very nearly wiped out following the Second World War but thanks to two dedicated breeders over in France, the breed was revived during the 1970’s.
We will be looking for only the very best pet homes for these very special puppies and they will come with a full contract agreed to and signed by both breeder and new owner once both parties are happy.
