Description
As you can see from the photographs, our Thai Ridgeback is the epitome of majesty in appearance, his features and poise having regality befitting ancient Siamese royalty from a time&place which his breed originally hails.
He is a young and extremely athletic with a gazelle-like prance and whippet speed with lead pulling power which belies his medium-sized breed dog statute; generally, it is only greyhounds, lurchers and the like that can whip him for speed (with similarly high prey drive as they). Our Thai is fed raw chicken or fish with top kibble and vegetables. His excellent diet is evident in his appearance: ¹at 25kg he is not overweight (like several other Thai's which resemble Shar Pei and Blood Hound with their excessive jowls and hooded eyes) ²His trotting cadence is in perfect sequence and always with exuberance ³His light fawn colouring showcases his musculature as there is no dark colouration to hide any physical imperfections so what you can see is all that there is ⁴I have not been able to take him out once, ever, without somebody either remarking at his looks and/or asking as to his breed.
We have had several requests for cross-breeding with other beautiful breeds but to keep this 2000+ year line as unadulterated as possible, we preferring pairing him with other Thai Ridgebacks if we can.
He has all his reproductive organs and is often interested in mounting other dogs - as we too are keen to keep the reproduction line au naturelle - but if a successful mating cannot be accomplished, we would consider the intervention of a specialist for artificial insemination
Please note that because this is a rare (uncommon) breed in this country, if I inquire as to where your bitch was born, this is so as to try and avoid any inbreeding and spoiling the breed line
