Meet Bruno, a large and intelligent Husky with a heart as big as his paws! Bruno is looking for a forever home where he can thrive and share his love. Bruno is 12 months old and hasn’t had an easy start in life, but he still wants to learn and deserves the perfect home.

🦴 BRUNO’S FACTS:
Age: 12 months
Size: Large - Siberian Husky
TRAINING: Knows sit, paw and jump, toilet trained, needs to continue leash work.
HOME LIFE: Fully house trained. Training well for high value treats. No food aggression.
CHARACTER: Playful, loving, and joyful. Can be clumsy with children due to his size and pushy with other dogs.
DOGS: Loves playing with other dogs but sometimes can be too pushy so we would recommend a slow introduction to a calm larger dog.
CHILDREN & ANIMALS: Great with kids but just be 11+ and dog savvy due to his size and still being very boisterous. Good with other dogs but is pushy. Likes cats.
HEALTH: No medical issues.
🐶 BRUNO loves to learn new tricks, especially when cheese or cocktail sausages are involved! He’s a fast learner but unfortunately learns bad habits as quickly as he learns new good behaviours.
🐶 BRUNO does mouth and jump up and needs an owner with experience in training large, stubborn dogs. Bruno has never intentionally hurt anyone, but is still learning how big and strong he is. With this in mind, Bruno needs to be an only dog, as while he has never shown aggression, he is very boisterous around other dogs. Bruno also needs to be in an adult only household or any children must be age 15+ and dog savvy.
Bruno adores playing ball and with his toys (though he might give furry toys a run for their money!). He’s always up for a game and will keep you entertained for hours. He doesn’t tire out easily, even after walks or training so his ne owner will need time to spend with him.
🐶 BRUNO settles better when given his own space. We have used a stair gate as he doesn’t like to be completely away from everyone but he does need space to decompress when he’s hyper. Bruno loves a walk, but pulls excessively. This has improved massively since being with his foster family but will require lots more work.
🐶 BRUNO is very loving and craves attention. He loves to be around people and will quickly become your loyal companion, but he is relentless in this when he wants something or attention.
What Bruno Needs: ‼
• Experienced Owner: Bruno needs someone experienced with large breeds who can continue his lead work and help him build confidence around loud vehicles.
• Safe Space: He likes having a safe space to decompress, such as a dining room or kitchen area, but also enjoys knowing his family is nearby.
• Strong Walker: Bruno is a strong boy and needs someone who can handle his strength on walks.
• Secure Garden: A garden with minimum 6-foot fences is a must, as Bruno could easily jump anything smaller.
• Dog-Savvy Family: Due to his size and boisterous nature, Bruno would do best in a home with people aged 13+ who are dog-savvy.
Special Notes:
• Bruno is not crate trained and prefers not to be in one.
• Bruno loves to jump up at new people and can be quite mouthy when playing, but he’s never hurt anyone intentionally.
