Description

Billy AKA Yoda is a very adaptable puppy who has flown from Cyprus and due to family circumstances is looking for a new home . His family are very upset and it’s not his fault at all This is what his dad says about him “He is eager to please so will be calm when you are sat down but active on walks and will play ‘fetch’ whenever you want. He is very loving and just wants to be around people and other dogs. He goes with the flow, will jump in the back of the car, will come into cafes , will let people stroke him and will run off on the lead and come back when you shout. He makes the most adorable purring noises when he is sleepy and relaxed He is good on the lead and will ‘stop’ if you tell him to. We’ve taught him good recall and if you shout ‘here’ (and have a treat) he comes bolting back, which is a lot of fun. He doesn’t like walking at night/ in the dark as much, and is a little nervous and jumpy. Billy is very good around food and has no aggression whatsoever. He is very happy to be with other dogs. We socialise him once a week at Doggy Day care with dogs of all sizes and breeds. He is so happy to be around others dogs he would benefit from a home with a dog. He is very intrigued by kids, in a good way. He is curious of them and just wants to sniff and understand them. He has met my 5 year old niece many times and they enjoy each others company He was initially wary of men but that was maybe the first week. He is very trusting of people and submissive. He hasn’t met any cats since being with us - he tries to chase squirrels but will also stop if you tell him to. Is he/she clean in the house? We are very proud of how clean he is in the house..We dont use a crate but Im told he was crate trained before we had him. One thing we’re so lucky with is how quiet he is at night - we bring his bed into our bedroom each night and he will stay silently there until morning - he will wake around 630-7 for breakfast or toilet but then will happily go back to sleep after if you do.. At first he wouldn’t be downstairs on his own at all but now he will stay down for a good while until investigating to see what you’re up to. We have been gradually increasing his time alone in the house to about 2 hours. He is incredibly adaptable. From day 1 he fit right in, we’ve had glowing reviews from doggy day care and friends and family that have looked after him in recent weeks have loved having him. He is so trusting and he goes with the flow. He does like the garden but (maybe because weather hasn’t been great) he doesn’t necessarily play in the garden so, apart from a few zoomies, he doesn’t necessarily need a house with large space. He gets a lot of running around time in the park. As he loves dogs so much and is so happy seeing them, I would say a home with another dog would be a BIG plus”..
