Unfortunately we need to rehome our dog due to our son recent allergy tests coming back as allergic to dogs.
His lineage is German and Swiss imports and he has an exceptional conformation with straight back. Lovely movement and temperament.
He is a big lad and when weighed last month he was 50kg.
He is not a guard dog and does not bark at the door or anyone coming in etc.
He is very energetic and likes to chase cats, we have two cats ourselves and unfortunately although he has never shown any aggression, due to his size and fast movements our cats are scared of him and now it is becoming an issue as one is 14 and she cannot put up with the continuous attention from him. Both cats are indoor and we are having to separate them all.
He is an entire male as he is only just over a year old so cannot be neutered as of yet. He is very excitable around other dogs and will mount any whether male or female.
He is fine with our 4 year old son, no aggression in him at all, very good with people and not aggressive with other dogs apart from wanting to mount them and pester them.
Would suit an active high energy home, perhaps someone that wants to do activities with him, he loves to scent and this seems to be something that occupies him. He can walk with you for miles and love to chase balls or toys.
He is a very loving dog but just very strong and bold and doesn't realise his own strength, always so happy to see his family and greets you with a lot of enthusiasm.
He would need someone knowledgeable with the breed that wants a young dog for lots of adventures. He needs further training and someone willing to devote the time to him to bring the best out in him. He is a stunning dog and it is a very difficult and sad decision but circumstances are beyond our control.
