Poppy is a beautiful 7 year old Beagle cross, who is looking for a new forever home.
Poppy was adopted and flew from Cyprus in July 2020, almost 5 years ago, and she has been a fantastic happy dog, circumstances changed once the family moved to a new home a couple of months ago.
This is what her existing family say about Poppy
Poppy is a 7 year old beagle. We think she has a small amount of pointer in her.
She is super friendly and cuddly too! She is amazing with children. She doesn’t like cats or small animals she wants to chase them!
She is great with other dogs. She doesn’t like water, but enjoys being groomed. She is crate trained and sleeps there at night. She can be left alone for a few hours.
She loves cuddles and affection and walks. She doesn’t like loud bangs and hates fireworks night.
She can jump high. You will need at six foot fence garden or she can jump it.
She is great on lead but she will run off if you let her off lead as she likes to chase squirrels ! We got an extendable lead which allows her to have a run around. She doesn’t pull at all on the lead.
Since we moved house nine weeks ago she has been barking a lot at the neighbours when they have been in the garden and at the postman. She didn’t used to do this and doesn’t do this when we visit family. She has not settled in the new house and at the noises in the new estate we live in. It’s a new build estate and we have found children both sides that live next door to us making noises and playing and she can’t see them so she is barking inside and outside. She needs a quiet garden and neighbour hood. We bought a house and didn’t know Poppy couldn’t handle the noises of neighbours in this way.
Poppy was diagnosed with
Leishmania 2 years ago. This is currently under control. She has daily medicine. We are insured and they pay for her medicine and her daily food. This pet insurance will transfer to her new family.
We will be very sad to rehome poppy she is an amazing dog and she will make a great pet in the right quiet home she needs x
We are having to rehome due to environment we now live in.
Poppy needs a lovely quite home and area, children over the age of 10 years old, a safe and secured garden
Poppy is microchipped, spayed, vaccinations up to date
