This is Cruz, a 3-year-old male Frenchie (he’ll be 4 on September 28th). I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old, and he’s been a big part of our family. Unfortunately, due to increased work hours and not being home much, I’m no longer able to give him the time and attention he truly deserves.
Cruz is a loving dog with loads of potential, but he does have a few behavioural issues that need someone experienced and patient to work through. He’s quite protective over his food—he can get snappy or try to bite feet if food is around or if he’s eating. He also tends to react to feet in general. These behaviours have been made worse by the lack of consistency and attention lately, so with the right environment and training, he can definitely improve.
He’s been raised around children and other dogs and generally does fine, but due to his food guarding, we think he’d do best in a home without other pets or young kids. Ideally, he’d go to someone (or a couple) who has experience with Frenchies or dogs with similar behavioural needs and can dedicate time to help him grow into the dog we know he can be.
We’re asking for a £150 rehoming fee—not to make money, but just to ensure he goes to someone serious and responsible. We care about him deeply and would love to stay updated on his progress in his new home.
