Meet bear š¾
Bears rehoming is complex and he needs to be with a loving, firm and experienced owner.
Bear is a 4 year old fawn pug pedigree, he is a wonderful little pug who loves long walks, lap snuggles and food! Bear has a great recall and is good with other dogs.
Unfortunately in 2023 Bear was attacked by a dog whilst on a walk, although no physical damage was done- it left bear with significant trauma.
Since the incident bear is scared of a harness, and will growl/snap when he is approached with one. He now needs to be walked on lead/collar and will only let people he trusts attach the lead.
Bear will growl/snap when his sides and legs are suddenly touched by visitors while being stroked.
Bear loves a bath however I will always put a pug muzzle on him while bathing due to his sides/legs being touched. Unfortunately my children who adore Bear are now scared of him due to his unpredictable behaviour.
I have tried different dog behaviourists, and exhausted every technique to help Bear but it hasnāt helped. He has been checked over by different vets to see if pain is the reason but he is completely healthy, trazodone helps him before vet trips.
I now have come to the difficult decision that a different home, with an owner with a lot of time and dedication to bear and no children is what Bear needs.
I will not let Bear go to anyone, and although I do not want payment for Bear, I would like his new owner to show proof of a Ā£100 donation to a dog charity of their choice. A garden is a must.
Bear is fully up to date with vaccinations, is neutered and has pedigree papers.
