💛🐾 This exceptional dog is BALOO, a big Teddy-Bear with stunning lion-like look - a true one-of-a-kind !
He was rescued from a public shelter and is currently waiting for a loving home after spending almost a year and a half in some private kennels. 😔
BALOO is around 2 years old, and with a height of about 60-65 cm, he’s a big boy with a heart that matches his size. 🐾
With his stunning appearance, he could be a Labrador/Golden Retriever/Basset Fauve de Bretagne mix, but there might also be a touch of a larger breed like a Mioritic in his lineage - his ancestors surely weren’t small. Either way, he’s a rare and beautiful dog you won’t easily come across again. 💖
BALOO is gentle, stable, and super sweet. He has a calm demeanour and a warm, friendly character. At the vet, he is an example of good behaviour - no fuss at all ! When it comes to walking on a lead, he’s a perfect gentleman, too. 🚶♂️ And as for other dogs (?): No problem ! BALOO is as peaceful as can be with his fellow canines. 🐶
We see BALOO thriving in a loving home with people who have time and energy to dedicate to him. Ideally, he would have access to a secure, dog-proof garden where he can run, play, and release his energy – something he’s never truly experienced. 🏡
A playful doggy companion would be a bonus (he gets along well with others!), but that is not a must - he’ll be happy as long as he has company, care, and love. 🐕

We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral it would be ! We will need your promise that BALOO will reside as a PET in your Home and he will be well looked-after and loved !
Should you adopt him - you will also agree to keep in touch with us, for years to come - so we can help with any issues.
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old to adopt a dog from our rescue.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any (different) adoption fee / donation for our rescue dogs - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are hardly covering the costs ! Anyway, we are flexible and open(...minded) to discuss over the price with the right potential adopters.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We keep in touch with all adopters (over 500 families, so far). On request, we can obtain & provide very good references from any of them.
As we do with a lot of our dogs, we can bring BALOO almost anywhere in the country -from St. Helier to Lerwick- and you won’t have to pay a penny until you have him !
