I'm absolutely heartbroken at having to rehome John as he is the most wonderfully affectionate cat who loves to steal a cuddle whenever I sit or lie down and gives me a look so full of love. I've had him since he was a kitten and he is now 7years old. He has always had access to a safe outdoor space and would definitely benefit from continued access to the outdoors.
He can sometimes dribble a bit when he gets super happy. He's pretty laid back and just wants some good company and attention. He had an issue a few years ago that made his chin area swell and since then his bottom lip has been slightly droopy, and he's currently over-grooming himself due to stress from our housing situation, so he's looking a little rough around the edges, but he's had issues with overgrooming in the past due to being very sensitive to fleas, and his fur has always grown back well given a little bit of time.
His vaccinations lapsed during a troubled separation period between me and my ex-husband, during which he was supposed to be caring for him and my other cats. I had to pull some major strings to make living arrangements for them to come back to me but sadly by this time they also had quite a lot of fleas. After a lot of TLC, I've got them back to very happy, healthy, flea-free cats, but regrettably I've not had the means to get their vaccinations back up to date yet. Due to my current living arrangements, we've had very limited indoor space and no outdoor space for the last 2 months, and so I believe this is why John is overgrooming himself at the moment.
I currently have 4 cats, so John is used to sharing and playing with others but I feel he may benefit from a slightly quieter home, preferably without kids.
I'm absolutely gutted to have to rehome John and would like to make sure I find him a good match for his future.
