Benny is a 3 year old, neutered male. He can be shy and nervous of new people but once you have won his heart he is the most loving boy. He chews his blankets when nervous, he particularly HATES fireworks and will shake uncontrollably 😢
He loves his walks and a toy to play with, he currently lives with 2 other dogs and is frequently around other people’s dogs.
On lead he can be nervous and bark at people, especially men wearing hats or cyclists that are too close, but he just needs reassurance that he is safe also has great recall off lead.
I adopted Benny at 18 months old, he was neutered at 6 months old and I believe that to have been too early, as he shows some discomfort of his rear end and has shown some aggression towards the vet in the past. This can sometimes look like aggression if he growls at you but he’s just letting you know that he doesn’t like being touched there.
He loves to be in his crate by 9pm and he loves to be under his blankets. Ideally Benny would need an older child or adult only household and preferably someone with knowledge and experience of the breed.
Due to him being Timid, I would need someone who wants to adopt him to allow a slow transition to his new home. Visits to us, visits to you, time alone with you etc etc. if you are unwilling to do this then I will not rehome him with you.
