Ari is a beautiful, 2 year old, spayed bitch. She is officially a staffy (I rescued her in March) but is clearly crossed with something like an American bulldog (not XL). She lives very happily with an old male chihuahua and is for the most part, a brilliant dog, with lots of energy and affection to give. When she came to me, she was very rough round the edges but will now walk very nicely on a lead. Recall is ok but not great when she is distracted. She doesn’t chew and can be left for a reasonable amount of time. She is immaculately toilet trained and has no issues with food guarding or anything like that. I have 4 kids (youngest is 4 months) and she has never been anything other than gentle and loving with them. Is fairly dog reactive - sometimes she is brilliant with other dogs, other times she isn’t and it’s hard to see a pattern so you don’t always know when it’s coming. Likewise, with new people, she is sometimes very vocal (never aggressive in terms of biting) but soon quietens down when she is told. I’m not overly bothered about the fee but want to see Ari in the right hands. Ideally someone with experience of bull breeds and no other dogs with a bit of time on their hands to continue her training and receive all her affection. She can’t live with cats.
