Meet Nellie Noodles – A Clever and Loving 3-Year-Old Crossbreed
Nellie is a gorgeous, intelligent girl with a likely mix of Collie and Lurcher in her DNA. She may be a little stand-offish when first meeting new people, taking her time to gather information (and search for treats!), but once she warms up, she’s all about cuddles, scratches, and sitting sweetly for rewards.
Nellie is highly trainable and absolutely loves to learn! She has completed several training classes, mastering tricks along the way, and thrives in an environment where she gets to train just for fun. She will do anything for a treat and would love owners who enjoy engaging in daily training sessions.
When it comes to other dogs, Nellie can be fearful. On walks, she prefers to avoid and ignore them, and while she may occasionally bark if one gets too close, she’s easily redirected. However, in the home, she needs to live with another dog for companionship and confidence-building. With the right introductions, she makes great friends and would love a calm yet playful canine companion.
Nellie has lived with cats before but has a tendency to chase, so a cat-free home would be best unless careful management is in place.
She is good with children aged 10 and older—she has been around younger kids but finds them overwhelming.
True to her Collie side, Nellie is intelligent and responsive, making a Collie-experienced home ideal. However, she doesn’t have the same high-energy endurance—her Lurcher side loves a good nap after a fun training session or an exciting run!
At home, Nellie is house-trained, well-behaved, and sleeps soundly. She also travels well in the car. She loves off-lead play in secure fields, zooming with friends, and even showing off her parkour skills!
Nellie is looking for active owners who can provide a good daily walk or two, along with plenty of mental stimulation. She can be strong on the lead at times, particularly at the start of a walk, but with the right approach, she settles well.
Nellie is a brilliant, affectionate, and fun-loving girl who is ready for a home that will embrace her intelligence, enthusiasm, and love for adventure!
