For sale is our well loved beautiful Cream Long Haired Miniature Dachshund Noodle who is 1 year 6 months old. We have had noodle since he was just a puppy of 8 weeks old and loved him so much...it is breaking our hearts that we have to list him. He is a lovely, bouncy dog who can't get enough of fetch but also loves a lap to get cosy on. Noodle stands at about a foot tall and two foot long, he knows plenty of commands such as sit, lie down, spin, roll over, paw, heel etc, and is a fast learner. He is well house trained and has no issue being alone. He is fine with children and other dogs but has only had slight exposure to both, he has been able to spend full days around other dogs with no issues. He has humped people as a young puppy but has recently been neutered which has stopped this. Unfortunately our reason for listing Noodle is that he has had occasional food aggression which we are no longer able to cater for. He becomes protective of his food bowl when fed by strangers and may sometimes resource guard. This has become difficult as both myself and partner work and rely on people to drop in on Noodle, however he has bitten family members who have done this before. We have seen a behaviourist for one session who suggested feeding him straight from our hands which had little to no effect. This may well be a behaviour that can be counteracted, but he has done it for some time and we cannot risk another incident if we plan on having a family in the future. We have looked after Noodle with nothing but love and it is killing us having to rehome him, but feel someone with expertise in food aggression or someone willing to be patient in training him/working around this will be better suited to caring for him. He is KC registered, fully vaccinated, neutered, de-flead and dewormed, and microchipped. We have tonnes of toys/collars/harnesses/beds and a personalised apple Airtag with his name on which we can include to make his move easier for both you and him.
