I have a 2 year old female cockatiel, called Bertie, who I have had since March 2023. She has been a huge part of my life since having her, and everyone in my family loves her to bits.
Sadly, I’ve restarted university and have realised that with all of our busy schedules, I do not have the time to commit to looking after Bertie sufficiently. I feel she deserves to live with someone who will be with her all day, has the care attentiveness to become her new flock and love her as much as I have.
I have given everything to ensure she’s had a happy life, and she is very healthy, social, hand trained and loves her scritches and peas. She loves being around people and will never complain about being pampered. Loves showers and trying to eat all jewellery (keep nice necklaces and watches away…she is a gremlin for the expensive)
Please give me as much detail as you can about your living situation and if you’ve had any prior experience with birds/currently have birds, as I am going to ensure she goes to a happy home.
She has not been DNA tested but after careful observation and a lot of research into her mating behaviours, I’ve concluded she is female. She also had a play date with another male cockatiel (my friend’s) and he did try to woo her, so unless cockatiels can be homosexual…I think it’s safe to say she’s a girl.
Collection only as I cannot drive! The cage can be included - it was very expensive but is an amazing size and all toys will be included.
