❤️ Senior tortie looking for her forever home ❤️
Meet Sharlie, a friendly and loving senior cat, estimated to be 12 years old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for parasites.
Sharlie’s journey has been far from easy. While we won’t delve into the details out of respect for her sensitive past, she came into rescue in a heart breaking condition - severely emaciated, infested with fleas and covered in painful bloody scabs due to her skin being so badly affected. Thanks to dedicated care and a loving foster home, Sharlie has made an incredible recovery both physically and emotionally. However, her early hardships have left her with some lasting challenges. She experiences ongoing skin issues stemming from the flea infestation and requires extra care to keep her comfortable and happy: a special diet; regular parasite treatments; regular steroids injections to manage her flare ups; soothing creams to calm her skin irritation. This cocktail of care keeps Sharlie in good spirits and prevents her from injuring herself by tearing at her skin.
Sharlie is a classic tortie with the signature sass and charm we all adore! While she may take a little time to warm up to new people, once she trusts you, her loving side truly shines. She enjoys playing with her toys, lounging under blankets well into the morning and surveying her surroundings from high perches. She’s perfectly litterbox trained. Although she’s an independent soul, she doesn’t mind being handled once she feels secure. She currently lives in Hastings but we will consider homes anywhere within the UK.
