7 x female dumbo rats in 3 different litters
Here I have 7 female dumbo rats from 3 separate litters ranging in age from 7 weeks to 10 weeks.
The first 2 girls are both mink Rexes and they’re both nearly 10 weeks old. Unfortunately the lady who was supposed to buy them from me kept messing me around. They’re both absolutely lovely girls and have had a lot of time spent building trust with them so they’re both super friendly - the two are £40.
Next I have a litter of 3 Russian blue females, these girls are 8 weeks old. There is 2 Rexes and 1 smooth coat. All 3 are super friendly and happy rats - the 3 are £60
Next I have two from my last litter, 1 is a female dumbo mink rex and the other is a female Russian blue Rex these are both 7 weeks old. I don’t usually let my babies go until 8 weeks but the mother stopped feeding them at 5 weeks old both are very happy healthy, eating and drinking no issues.
All girls are fed a species appropriate diet which is based on aspects of the shunamite diet. I don’t include dog biscuits or breakfast cereals in my mix because I breed for health and vitality in my rats.
My rats including babies will get a 50/50 diet throughout the day and their morning breakfast is a kefir fermented overnight oats super food porridge which includes various fruits, vegetables, rat egg and 15 different herbs and spices.
My rats are only ever given bottled mineral water to drink.
Babies cages are lined with bedmax as their substrate, back2nature for their toilet litter trays and shredded paper for bedding.
My rats are bred indoors, in a family home and there are also a dog, 2 cats, and birds within the homes so they will be used to the noises and smells from them.
I do not however let the cats or dog in the room with the rats.
