Barney, has become available. I bought him from someone not too long ago I was led to believe he is 3 years old, talkative, friendly, fine with dogs etc.
Unfortunatly he is just not settling in due to me having other birds I think he's a bit frightened seeing them out free flight, he is obviously in cage when they are out. He refuses to leave his cage and is quite protective of his toys/space. I think giving him a chance with someone without other pets would help him settle and be more at ease to flourish, he hasn't done much in terms of talking, he is showing signs of wanting to talk and communicate doesn't allow me near him unless handing him food which he takes nicely, I have started some training with introducing target and clicker but he is very uncertain i dont think he has ever been handled which id hoped to change. He likes to be heard, video included just to show noise level this was the 1st day so he was very vocal, which I thought was stress related but he does this often đ
Please only serious enquiries, and someone with experience and no other pets as i think that would be beneficial to barney, he has been around dogs and doesn't really look their way but i think no pets would be best for him to get full attention on him to help him trust. Given the short time I have had him he is starting to dart at ur hands from the outside of the cage alot less than he did at the start he does come to the gate now amd sits watching amd yapping away no specific words for me yet but he is still settling which could take a while
