Description

🆘 AVAILABLE in DEVON-Billy ‘boomerang’ as he’s called because he has always wanted to belong- -Honiton area- 2-3yr old lad Billy boy was christened ‘Billy boomerang’ by my mother (I’m the rescuer leesa) because poignantly after being abandoned & then finding himself in a municipality pound in Europe, did, after being put out again (common practice in some countries) follow the workers back to the shelter. He’d spotted their ‘bus’, hopped on & travelled with them to the only ‘home’ he’d ever known- a concrete enclosure. Evidently & sadly he preferred it to anything else. I couldn’t see such a determined and loving soul homeless once more after trying to attach again- that his efforts would just take him back to the dangers on the ‘street’. When I met him I wanted to help the lad. As a welfare we found billy a home in the U.K. & he’s in the Honiton region. Bill’ became a 2nd chance adoption the day after he arrived & the current owner has been clear that this is through no fault of his. He landed around the 28.1.25 so will at least bounce back quickly as hasn’t had too long to get attached to the current home though clearly likes them a lot. He’s an affectionate soul. The family were as they said unrealistic in their expectations & had been ‘naive’. The owners partner felt they’d wanted perfect without truly accepting that it may not be. We thank them for keeping him safe and warm until he’s homed or until we have a foster placement. With the current owners beautiful write up about him I cannot imagine that it will be long before he’s snapped up. Alls he & any animal needs is time, patience, compassion & a few measures in place so that they know what is expected from them. Billy’s must haves our:- *A garden *A commitment so his next home is his last one *Access to other dogs to play with *Time off lead in enclosed parks *And LOVE In his current adopters words we give you Billy. See below for his statistics & further details. “he’s one of the most beautiful dogs I’ve ever seen! I don’t think these photos do justice of the pure beauty he is! A stunning fox like face and the body of a small Alsatian. He is so affectionate and just wants to be loved. I’ve barely heard him bark. He’s so clever, he’s already toilet trained, loves his walks, getting on really well with recall training. Knows sit and touch. Comes when called from the garden. He loves a snuggle on the sofa and has adapted so quickly to his new life. I’m so upset my circumstance can’t allow me to keep him as he really is a true sweetheart. I know he would be absolutely doted on by anyone that meets him. He loves chicken and ham and does a happy dance when you give him it. To be honest, I can’t say enough positive things about him. He’s not displayed any signs of separation anxiety when left for a short while, settles beautifully. He’s better behaved than most dogs I know that have lived in a home from the start. His past has not at all defined him. I truly mean every word. I’m absolutely in love with this dog and it’s breaking my heart to give him up but I know he will have a better life here in England than he ever did in Bulgaria “.
