On 10 January, Sabina was called out to the village of Old Dudestii by a grandfather called Mr Bordea who had found a desperate stray female dog in his yard. In the freezing cold and pouring rain, under an old mattress discarded in the yard, she had given birth to 8 pups during the previous night.
When Sabina arrived, the pups, who were under a day old, were already hypothermic. On the dash back to the clinic, one of the pups gave its last breath and sadly passed over rainbow bridge 🌈🐾
Once at the clinic, the vet team were able to raise the body temperature of the other seven pups with the help of their mum and saved their little lives.
The mum, although being protective and aggressive at first, soon realised that Sabina and her team of vets wanted to help her and quickly relaxed. The whole family is now safe at the shelter💚
But the story doesn’t end there! Sabina had a small, very young pup who had been abandoned without her own mum and still needed a mother’s milk. The wonderful mum of seven became a mum of eight and accepted the new little munchkin as one of her own 🥰
We named the mum Pandora, who has been a wonderful mum raising all her pups and she deserves a wonderful home too!
Pandora is a lovely sociable and friendly dog who is approx 6 years old. She has now been spayed and is fully vaccinated and ready to travel from the end of April transport.

ADOPTION CRITERIA - PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
❇️ Minimum age for adopters is 25
❇️ A successful home check is required
❇️ The adoption donation is £450
❇️ We do not rehome our dogs in flats/apartments unless ground floor with own private garden
❇️ Children above the age of 6 years old
❇️ A fully secure garden with at least 5’ fences/boundaries is required
❇️ If working, no more than 4 hours absence at any one time.
