Meet Matilda, Matilda is just over 7 months old.
This hasn’t been an easy decision and it really hasn’t however I need to do what’s best for Matilda. Matilda was bought for my youngest as she is such an animal lover, having lost our family dog of over 13 years the house felt so empty with no dog. However I was in a relationship at the time and this has since ended on very bad terms. Therefore being a single mum to 5 children as well as trying to train a Newfoundland has been very hard. I don’t have the funds to put her through proper training and having spoke to many owners of the same breed this is something they have all said a dog like her needs. This is due to the size she will become and the strength these dogs have. She is in no means at all vicious, she is very loving, loves to play, loves to go on walks and she has been a delight she really has. However as stated she needs to go to someone with more time. Someone who can get her the appropriate training needed so she will come on the recall etc. Matilda does know sit, she knows to go to toilet outside, she knows to go to bed etc but she does like to jump up and pull on the lead. My daughter is 2 years old so this has resulted in a few bumps as she just knocks her over as stated not in a vicious or nasty way. Serious buyers only and yes I am selling as regardless of the situation she was paid for and this was for my daughter so therefore I want to be able to put the money there for her so we can decide what our next point of call is from this. She is KC registered and she is also microchipped. She is upto date on vaccinations and wormer.
