Laika is a very sweet 8yr old Siberian Husky. She came into our rescue after being found as a neglected, emaciated stray by a member of the public. She then did her time in stray kennels but she was out of time and at serious risk of being put to sleep as the pound was so full. We were contacted and agreed to help. We're so glad we did. She loves everyone she meets, kids & adults alike. Shes house trained and is well behaved in the home but she does like to sleep near her people but the landing will do, as long as she's near she will settle in her bed on the landing. She can be left alone a couple of hours no problem as long as she's had a good walk beforehand. She gets on well with other dogs as long as the right introductions are carried out and the other dog isn't allowed to jump all over her. Laika has
never shown any aggressive behaviors at all whilst in foster. She's a lovely girl, still loves her walks but settles in between so best of both worlds. Laika cannot live with cats or small furries due to her breed type. She travels well and although can pull initially on a walk she soon settles down. She really loves a tummy tickle and a cuddle. She's only 20kg so not a big husky, medium in size. Laika has been spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated by our charity. She has also had full health and blood checks and all results were good so please don't be put off by her age this girl has lots of years left in her yet. She will need a secure garden with at least 6ft fencing and someone around to be a companion for her as she will be for them. If you can offer all of the above please get in touch asap.
