Meet Luca! 🐾
Luca is a 7-month-old male German Shepherd with a striking black coat with patches of white & tan. He is a playful, energetic, and intelligent pup who loves spending time outdoors, going on walks, and engaging in interactive play. His favorite toys include balls, rope toys, stuffed animals, and even plastic bottles!
About Luca:
✔ Good with other dogs – He’s social and has never shown aggression toward them.
✔ Leash trained – Walks well on a harness with minimal pulling.
✔ Loves food & treats – Chicken is his favorite, and he enjoys chewing on pork belly sticks and bones.

✔ Semi-house trained – Goes outside but may need encouragement in the rain.
Why We Are Rehoming Luca:
This is an incredibly difficult decision, but we want to find a home that can meet his needs and give him the best possible life. The main reasons for rehoming him are:
1️⃣ He struggles with young children – Luca can get jealous and sees himself as the "only baby" of the household. While he is affectionate, he has shown dominant behaviors toward our 3-year-old son, including sitting on him and biting at his arms during play. Recently, he became protective over a food puzzle and lunged at our child. While Luca is wonderful when he has full attention, we feel he would be better suited to a home without small children.
2️⃣ Our home is too small for him – We underestimated how big he would get! Right now, he has his own space in a downstairs wet room, but it’s becoming too cramped. He needs room to run, play, and explore, ideally a home with a large garden, open land, or a farm.
3️⃣ Our work/life situation has changed – We both now work full-time, which means Luca isn’t getting the exercise and attention he deserves. He would thrive in an active home where he can burn off his high energy levels.
Who Luca Would Be Perfect For:
🏡 A home with space – A large yard, farm, or countryside home.
🐕 An experienced dog owner – Someone who understands working breeds and has time to dedicate to training and exercise.
🏋️ An active individual/family – He needs lots of walks and stimulation.
🦴 Someone without small children – He does best when he has undivided attention and isn’t competing for it.
We truly love Luca, and this is not an easy decision, but we only want the best for him. If you think you can offer Luca a loving, active home where he will thrive, please reach out!
