Very sad to post this advert but our beautiful loving Lakeydoodle/Lakeypoo girl needs a loving new home. She’s a cross between a miniature poodle and a Lakeland terrier.
She’s been with us a year and is so loving and playful. She’s great in the car, as long as she’s sat with you and not alone in the back. We’ve taken her on holiday to Cornwall and she was well behaved. She’s house trained and happy to be left a few hours with her toy or a large chew bone! Has slept every night in the kitchen, door shut, with no crying since we got her.
Unfortunately despite perseverance and trying so many different approaches she continues to nip and tug the legs on pants of our kids (and their friends) constantly when she’s wanting to play. We’ve persevered for a year hoping it would be something she grows out of but no matter what we have done it doesn’t work. She’s never nipped or bitten anyone with aggression or anger. And not on the skin. She does not have any aggression towards humans, other animals or children whatsoever. She hasn’t displayed this behaviour on the lead when out on walks. It is only at home and in the garden.
We are also moving home into a much smaller house and garden. This is going to condense the issue as we will no longer have the room to separate her when she’s not leaving the kids ankles alone.
For this reason she needs an adult only home. Someone who can provide the active loving home we have but with only adults who can be consistent with training. She’s familiar with cats. But tends to chase them unless they’re confident and show her who’s boss. She loves other dogs but very affectionate and playful so it depends if the other matches this energy or gets annoyed with her!
