Description
With a heavy heart I am placing my blue staff, Lola, up for adoption. She is 7 years old, and we have owned her since she was 10 weeks old. A 5th generation purebred blue staff, and a relatively small staff in posture. The reason for adoption is she’s a very energetic and reactive dog, and with 2 small children in the house unfortunately she’s struggling to adapt, along with us as owners struggling to give her the necessary time and attention she requires. Lola is not friendly with other animals, and has a history of scuffles with other dogs. We believe with the right training this could be corrected, along with her reactive behavioural traits. Her new owners will need to have no other animals in the house. She is also very reactive to new people walking into her house and will become over excited for 5-10 minutes before calming down. This is quite common with the breed from my understanding. She’s a very loving dog, has been well looked after with yearly vaccinations and all healthy. She’s crate trained, and sleeps during the night in one. She’s good on walks, and doesn’t pull in lead much, but does not have good recall so is only off lead in empty spaces. Most of the time she’s a very calm and lazy dog, and will happily lay on beds and sofas during the day. She spends week-days with me lazing on a bed since I work from home. Her diet is good, she eats hypoallergenic dry food once a day. She enjoys dog treats and the occasional meat/human food treats. Please be aware we will not give up Lola unless we are comfortable that she will be looked after in her new home. The payment is purely to prevent time wasters.
