Meet Oreo,
Unfortunately we find ourselves in the horrible position of needing to rehome our beloved Oreo.
My partner suffered a major heart attack last year and since returning home we have found Oreos behaviour has change and we are finding him to be quite unmanageable,
Oreo is a lifelong house cat, enjoys his peace and quiet, and has always been a little unsociable and wary of strangers, however, recently he has lashed out at my partner on a number of occaisions and has started to toilet in areas of the house away from his litter boxes.
Oreo can be extremely affectionate, enjoying cuddles and chin rubs but always on his terms.
Because of his recent aggression we have been unable to get him to the vets since his change in behaviour, however we feel that in a home with no children or other pets he may once again find the peace that will enable him to settle and live out his years.
We are absolutely gutted to be in this position but given my partners health struggles I can no longer give him the time and attention he needs to bring out the better side of him.
Oreo is un neutered, largely because he’s always been the only cat and an indoor one at that, however, we would be willing to help financially if the right home could be found for him.
Please be aware, I’ve been as honest as I can be in this posting, we have enjoyed Oreo and his unique personality for 10 years, he has been no problem until the last 6 months or so and so for anyone who may be able to give him a home we want to be clear that Oreo is needing someone who can have the patience and understanding of his recent behavioural issues, a home with no children or other pets would be needed.
We are gutted to be having to rehome him but my partners health and anxiety levels leave us little choice, and the alternative is a route we would rather avoid if at all possible.
We have put the minimum price this site allows, however, what really matters is the right home is found, and for that we would be happy to contribute an amount towards his healthcare etc
