Meet Bobby, Bobby is a big sweetheart, he does like being outside the home and can struggle once his walks are over, for this reason he would need a home with a garden for him to run around in and enjoy. He does have fears and therefore his introduction to the world and people needs to be very slow and steady.
Bobby can be nervous of new people visiting however he does settle down very quickly after around 15 minutes and after he has settled he is very friendly. Bobby can however be more nervous around males and needs a little extra time to gain his confidence with them.
Bobby accepts a collar, harness and lead. He can pull on the lead at first however he does walk ok once he has settled into the walk. He has been very good with everyone he meets and has never shown any aggression. He is however scared of loud noises, and large vehicles that pass by. He is working on this with his foster family, he will need continued support with this. He is making improvements everyday
Bobby has never been around children in the UK however did meet children 10+ in Romania who he was very good with. Due to his nervous nature it is felt he would prefer Older Dog Savvy Children 12+ who can understand and respect his boundaries.
Bobby could live with another dog, with slow and sensible introductions. He tends to be playful with other dogs and enjoys their company. He cannot live with unneutered females and meets would be preferred for him.
Bobby met cats in Romania and was fine, he hasnât met them here but has shown no prey drive therefore could live with dog savvy cats.
Bobby has been left alone for periods of up to 3 hours, and hasnât been destructive, he tends to just sleep.
Bobby is crate trained. Bobby is doing well with his toilet training, this will be on going training in his new home - he is nearly there, with the odd accident
