AJ is a sweet and affectionate boy, looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy the comforts of family life. This charming, fluffy dog has an all-black coat with a distinctive white patch on his chest, which he loves to show off when asking for belly rubs—his favourite way to relax.
AJ came into our care about two years ago with his best friend, Pip. Originally part of a spay and neuter campaign, they were intended to return to the streets in Macedonia after recovery. However, it quickly became clear that street life wasn’t suitable for them. Since then, AJ has been enjoying the warmth and care of a kennel environment, sharing a space with Pip and becoming the best of friends. They do spend time apart too to get them used to being rehomed. AJ will be arriving in our UK kennels this week 31st Jan.
AJ is a medium-sized, healthy dog with a gentle and playful demeanour. While he enjoys his walks and playtime, he’s not overly energetic and would suit a family that appreciates a relaxed, balanced lifestyle. He loves spending time outdoors but is equally content with quiet moments at home, whether it’s lounging by your side or curling up in his favourite spot.
Being highly food-motivated, AJ is a quick learner and would benefit from continued training. His carers believe he has great potential to excel in learning new commands, especially with a bit of consistency. Despite his playful side, AJ’s true love is for snuggling. After a pleasant day, he’s happiest cuddling on the sofa or snoozing in a cosy corner until it’s time for bed.
AJ would do well in a household with children aged 8 and above, where he can enjoy gentle play and companionship. While he hasn’t been tested with cats yet, we’re happy to arrange a cat test for any prospective owners.
