🐶 CHARLY's early life was one of fear and pain. He was rescued from cruel owners who beat him. The fear of sticks, brooms, and sudden movements lingers as a painful reminder of his past. Despite the past, CHARLY has shown incredible resilience, his sweet and loving nature shining through once trust is built.
Detailed Information:
🐶 At first, CHARLY may be shy, especially around unfamiliar people or movements. But once he realises he’s safe, his gentle and affectionate side emerges. He adores snuggling close and will quietly follow his trusted human around, soaking up every ounce of kindness and love.
🐶 Calm and well-balanced, CHARLY isn’t demanding or hyper. He’s happiest in a quiet, patient environment where he can take his time to feel secure. While he loves to play with other dogs, he can feel intimidated by overly boisterous ones and has shown some guarding from other dogs (not humans) behaviour during mealtimes—a heartbreaking reminder of his hunger-filled past.
🐶 Housetrained and walking well on a lead, CHARLY enjoys walks, calmly exploring the world by your side. His modest nature makes him an ideal companion for someone looking for a quiet, devoted friend.
Ideal Family:
🐶 CHARLY would thrive in a patient and gentle home where his past is understood, and he can feel truly safe. He’d do best with older children (10+) who are dog-savvy and can respect his boundaries. A calm canine companion or even a friendly cat would be wonderful, but they should be gentle and respectful of his needs.
