Re advertising as we couldn’t let him go, but it really is time 😢 Peanut is a charming, fun-loving miniature Dachshund with a dapple coat and a big personality. Although classified as a miniature, he’s on the larger end of the scale. With his affectionate nature, Peanut will quickly win your heart – he absolutely adores cuddles and belly rubs and will go out of his way for extra strokes. He’s a wonderful example of a family pet and has grown up in a busy home with two children, whom he considers his playmates. Peanut has a special bond with kids and loves playing with any small human, making him a perfect fit for a family.
He’s also social with other dogs, often engaging in playful romps for hours, followed by snuggling up for a nap together. However - his nerves get the best of him & he doesn’t make friends easily initially & will bark bark bark. Once he establishes that another dog wants to play, he will adore them.
Peanut is not nurtured as it is vet recommended to wait until 2yrs due to an increased risk of spinal issues within the breed if neutered within the first year.
True to his breed, Peanut can be vocal – he enjoys the sound of his own voice and will bark at most things. This is especially true when he’s nervous or meeting someone new, which is a typical trait of Dachshunds. Once he warms up and gets to know you, though, Peanut is incredibly loyal and won’t leave your side, whether you’re human or canine!

As much as we love Peanut, our family is dynamic is changing & we are no longer able to give him the life he really does deserve. This heartbreaking decision hasn’t come easily. Peanut thrives on love, attention, and company, and as our schedules have become busier, we’ve noticed he’s getting bored and craving more interaction. He deserves a home where he can truly shine and be showered with the attention he craves.
We are looking for a special home where Peanut can live his best life. He has brought us countless joy, and we want to ensure he finds a family that can give him the same love, care, and happiness. Patience is a must & more training will go a long way. Peanut is loyal & will make his presence known if someone taps at the door. You’ll need to remind him you’re in charge!
