Sometimes life takes unexpected turns, and no one knows this better than Logan. This beautiful, soulful boy had everything he ever wanted - a loving home, a devoted owner, and a life filled with companionship. But when his beloved owner's health failed, Logan's world turned upside down.
At eight years old (born October 14th, 2016), Logan should be settling into his golden years in comfort. Instead, this gentle giant - all 30kg of pure love - found himself facing an unthinkable fate. When we heard he might be put down despite being healthy and full of life, we couldn't let that happen. Now he's safe with us in Emergency Foster care, but what he needs is something only you might be able to give: a forever home where he can heal his heart and learn to trust again.
Logan is the kind of dog who makes you believe in second chances. In his foster home, he's showing us just what a remarkable companion he could be. He shares his space beautifully with other dogs, though his gentle nature means he gets a bit worried if they're too boisterous. His perfect day? A leisurely walk followed by his favorite dinner (with scrambled eggs on top - his little luxury), and then claiming his spot on the sofa where he'll execute his signature move: the slow, subtle shuffle closer until he's near enough for gentle pets.
But Logan isn't just looking for any home - he's looking for the right home. His perfect match would be someone who understands dogs, who can read his subtle cues and gentle nature. He needs an experienced dog person who's home often or can take him along to work - someone who knows that the best relationships are built on patience and presence. His previous life was rich with constant companionship, and that's what he needs again to truly thrive.
Watching him slowly blossom in foster care has been beautiful. He's impeccably housetrained and walks beautifully on lead, though as a big boy, he needs someone confident in handling a dog of his size. His calm, loving nature shines through more each day, but he still needs someone who understands that trust and confidence take time to build.
