Description
BAILEY IS IN THE CARE OF LURCHER LINK RESCUE.
Bailey was rehomed by Lurcher Link 5 years ago, but his owner sadly could no-longer keep him due to health issues, so he's back with us again while we find him a new home.
Bailey is used to living in a home. He is toilet trained and is able to be left home alone for a reasonable amount of time. He travels well in the car.
Bailey knows some basic commands (sit, down, wait, look, come). Bailey can be rehomed with children of teenage. Bailey can be anxious at times and will need gentle handling to start with; but once you've won him over he's a nice easy-to-handle lad (except around other dogs).
Bailey used to be good with other dogs, but has developed some reactivity. He wasn't getting much exercise in his old home, which may have contributed to the problem. Bailey ideally needs somewhere rural or semi-rural where he isn't going to meet too many dogs, while his reactivity can be worked on. Bailey will need to be muzzled when out in busy places. He's currently walked on a halti for more control.
Bailey needs to be rehomed as an only dog.
Bailey is 25" to the shoulder and was rather overweigh at about 35kg when we first took him in. He is slowly becoming a healthier shape. Bailey's mum was a whippet x greyhound, but his father was unknown.
Not suitable to live with cats.
