UPDATE******** Please be advised..... I have now found a wonderful, permanent home for the amazing Hugo. I've had feedback, videos and photos and he's settling in so well. Thank you for everybody's interest in him, it's very much appreciated xxx******** Hi, meet Hugo. He's a gorgeous 2yr old Jack Russell Cross, looking for his forever home. Hugo hasn't had the best start and will require the right home for his needs. I've looked after him for a few months now, after his previous home became unsafe for him. I hoped he would be able to settle here but unfortunately a change in my circumstances has made that impossible and I am determined to find him the perfect home. He's in perfect health, he's been neutered and he's microchipped. He weighs approx 8.5kg and appears to be crossed with possibly a Patterdale. He's such a good boy and none of this is his fault. This new home needs to be his forever home, he desperately needs stability….so I need to get it right. He will need plenty of attention and lots of exercise and somebody who has the patience and time to invest with him. Older children would be ok (preferably not under 11) and he would do ok with being a solo dog, but only if he's not left on his own for more than an hour or so. He gets very anxious when he’s left, which is perfectly understandable, given his history. He would do better with a female dog of about the same size and if she was around the same age or slightly older that would be good. He does not really get on with my male dog, so I would not want to place him anywhere with another male dog. I have cats and he’s ok around cats that are not scared of dogs. I wouldn’t have him around a young kitten though. He’s still a terrier and that chase instinct is strong, so to be fair on the cat he/she would have to be able to cope with the ‘Hugo’ energy. I’ve discovered he’s not happy around horses…….He loves toys and especially a Kong squeaky tennis ball. He eats well, no dietary issues. I am happy to share his history with you and discuss all I have learned about this gorgeous dog.
