Description

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are looking to rehome our 3 year old pug Paddington (paddy for short) he is absolutely amazing he is the best little character with a big personality. We have had him since a pup he has never had a single health problem, the last time we went to the vet she was made up with how healthy he is. He has a slightly longer snout than the pugs you see these days but thats the way pugs used to be and have a much better quality of life as he doesn't have any breathing problems and will breath just fine when he gets older. He is full of energy I take him on at least 2 walks per day and he loves them, he is a bit head shy of new people but warms up after a while and loves attention. His dream would be to just lounge around all day and be doted on inbertween his walkies. Gutted is an understatement I have a lot of love for paddy I didn't really like pugs until my ex partner got him. He craves attention but due to me and my ex both now working full time he is home too long on his own and its not fair on him. He has been raised with my daughter and English bulldog and has never once been malicious or went for anybody he doesn't have a bad bone in his body, but he does loves to play and play fight with the bulldog and with us. He does bark at other dogs and noises outside when he's in the garden and stuff that's just his security duties I think he would say 🤣 on walks he is good on the lead pulls a little when he wants to get somewhere but it's just excitement I often take him to a secure field and let him off the lead which he loves and comes back to me when I call him to put the lead on. He barks at other dogs when walking him if you don't let him go and say hello but when you do let him go over he has a good sniff and is gutted when you have to say bye, again he has never went for another dog and has only barked back when saying hello if the other dog has done first. I think he would be fine going to a home who already have a dog as he gets on brilliantly with my bulldog. He is crate trained although we only use it now for when he gets humpy with the bulldog which happens every so often and he goes in the crate himself with no problems. He is potty trained and goes the toilet in the garden or on his walks, the only time he wees inside are when he can't hold it anymore if he's been alone a while but if you are there he comes and scratches the gate to let you know he needs to go. He is on royal canin dog food but we have also had him on harringtons and is just fine, his fave treats are bakers bacon rashers and the whirlers. Hes been microchipped and had his vaccinations for kennel cough I think 2 years ago now I would have to check also he has been on the monthly subscription for fleas on worm treatment from vets for pets since we have had him £16 per month I think it is we have also always had insurance but never used it as he is as fit and healthy as a butchers dog.
