Leo is a lovely 2 year old smaller dog. He is great with other dogs and would prefer a canine companion in the home. He can live with cats, and we think he'd be best with children 8 years plus.
In his foster mum's eyes, Leo is the perfect dog! He is fully house-trained, and loves to sit in your lap for cuddle time. He lives happily with the resident dogs, with no food aggression. When left alone, he seems happy and not anxious. However, this may be helped by having doggy friends in the house.
Leo can be a little bit nervous of strangers, but so loving when he gets to know you. He's also not a fan of being picked up, but this is because he is still learning to trust that humans won't hurt him.
This clever fella walks well on the lead in quieter areas, but is still finding lots of people and traffic a bit overwhelming. With some time and lots of encouragement, we think he will gain in confidence.
Leo lives with cats in his foster home, and seems completely oblivious to their existence! He interacts really well with his fellow canines and draws strength from their presence. However, he may be best suited to living with older, smaller or more gentle doggies.
In all, Leo is an amazing dog who will be a marvellous addition to a family with another dog/s, who can live happily with cats and quieter/calmer children over 8 years old.
