Description

Petunia was living as a stray cat dodging the dangers of the streets on Granada in southern Spain . We are almost certain that she was once a pet that was left behind by her callous owners as she is very friendly and craves human attention . She tried to join the many feral colonies and we know that she has had at least one litter of kittens ( she is now neutered ) . She has been looked after by a kind lady who although couldn’t let her in the house because she had dogs who were not cat friendly , she did feed her on a daily basis ….but this was no life for her , so the lady asked us to help try and find her a home . Adoptions are very hard to come by in Spain especially for adult cats , so I try and find good homes in the U.K. which I’ve been doing ever since I adopted my cats from Spain 10 yrs ago . The transport is expensive ( £400 / £450 depending on the company but it is a DEFRA approved door to door service ) we then ask for £100 to cover the cost of the pet passport costs ( neutering , tests for FELV and FIV …which are both negative ….microchip , vaccines , worm and flea treatment ) . Petunia will need a home where she has safe access to outside space , ideally a countryside location or somewhere away from busy roads , as she will after her settling in period need to be able to go out and explore . A cat that has had access to a life outside would not make a suitable house cat ( none of our cats do ) ..chances are though she will probably be more than happy to spend a lot of time inside curled up on a lap . 😻 All home offers are subject to checks .
