Freddie will be 4 years old in June. He is a beautiful lovely boy. Very well behaved in the home and is a water baby and will seek out and dive into water. He loves to play ball and go on adventures. However, he is loyal, too loyal and this is the difficulty we have. He resource guards us, his humans. We have an older dog who over the last 2 years he has started to fight with. This has really started to increase and has got to the point where both cannot be in a room together. He doesn’t do this with other people but he also does not enjoy other dogs coming close to him on a lead. Avoid them and he is fine. Despite having been well socialised he just seems to be anxious in very busy environments so we keep to quiet areas now. Because of his anxiety and resource guarding of us I don’t trust him around children and that is a further issue as we have 2 grandchildren under the age of 1. He has never caused them harm and he has been in the room with them but I watch him like a hawk (possibly my own anxiety). In reality Freddie needs someone or a couple who have no children, won’t have children and can limit contact with them and most definitely no dogs! He is super loveable and loves to cuddle up on your lap and just adore you and be by your side all day. He is an absolute Velcro dog. This is not an easy decision to make as he is adored but the safety of both dogs is paramount and they are just in flight and fight mode around each other. And the situation is now no longer sustainable.
Freddie is in amazing health. Is subject to a pet plan. Is raw feed. He just needs the right person he can love unconditionally and who will return that. I have put in a price but I am looking for the right home rather than money.
