Rescue Story:
KATE’s story is one of heartache. Though she was never a stray, her life was still deeply affected by the cruelty of war. Her owner, a woman who had once been able to care for her, lost her husband to the war. Devastated by grief, she fell into depression, finding herself unable to provide the care KATE deserved. This tiny girl, always a beloved companion, found herself at risk, but thanks to the efforts of rescuers, KATE is now safe and looking for her forever home.
Detailed Information:
KATE is the sweetest, most loving dog you could meet. She’s a little lovebug who thrives on human attention and affection, and she absolutely adores being held. Her ideal day is spent playing gently with her canine friends or cuddling on the couch with her human. She has wonderful home manners and has been a well-loved companion throughout her life, never knowing life on the streets.
Though she’s incredibly friendly and sociable, KATE does not like to be left alone. Her perfect home will include another friendly small dog who can keep her company, as she loves to play and bond with them. If there is no other dog, KATE will need a human who will not leave her alone, as she craves companionship and can’t bear being alone. She will cry if left by herself with no canine friend by her side.
KATE is good with children, but due to her tiny size, she would do best with gentle, older children who will respect her small stature. She’s friendly and tolerant with cats and enjoys the company of other dogs, though she’s not the most confident around larger or more boisterous dogs.
Ideal Family:
KATE would thrive in a home where she can be surrounded by love and attention. Her ideal family would include a person or family who is around and, ideally, another small dog for her to bond with. She’s not suited to a home where she is left alone with no other dog. This sweet little girl needs a family who understands her need for companionship and will cherish her 🐾💖🏠
