I have owned Lula since 2020. She came to me as a foal alongside her full sister. In spring 2024, I backed Lula with the help of a teenage jockey. She was incredibly sweet and easy to break in, showing a calm and willing attitude towards everything asked of her.
Since being backed, she has mainly enjoyed hacking, which she absolutely loves. She is used to riding through a Donkey Sanctuary Farm, a dairy farm, and along a busy A road. Lula hacks alone or in company and can also be led from another horse.
In autumn 2024, Lula attended Hound Exercise twice with a 15-year-old rider, behaving impeccably in a large group of horses, hounds, and open fields. She then went autumn hunting twice before being turned away to mature over the winter.
Lula has recently been brought back into work and is regularly hacking, clearly enjoying having a job again.
She is perfect to handle—stands like a rock to be brushed, washed, have her feet picked out, etc. She’s great to clip all over and is good for the farrier (was shod in front before being turned away, now barefoot).
Due to her age, Lula is only suitable for an experienced home with someone who understands and has experience with young horses. She is a perfect blank canvas for someone wanting to mould her into their own, without the need to do the breaking or backing themselves.
Lula would make a perfect Family Allrounder/PC/RC horse.
Popped over natural logs etc out hacking and started to lunge over coloured poles. Honest and willing attitude as always
