Hi
I’m looking for new home for my two map turtles. They are not your ordinary maps, they hybrids/morphs, mum is False map and dad is Oachita map, two map subspecies crossed together and we ended with bunch of eggs. We kept two of them and hatched these babies. They will be 1 year old in July.
They awesome, curios, active, they eat well and they love to bask on their rock.
Reason for new home. We have 12 turtles in total. These 2 we hatched and bred and raised our self, and was hoping we would know some one who would want to take them on.
What you need to know.
If they females they will get up to 10 inches long and if they are males they will get up 4-5 inches long. I’ve incubated them to be males but it’s not guaranteed.
As they get bigger They will need 4 or 5ft long tank, big canister filter and appropriate lighting. They are high maintenance pets and they live very long if looked after properly. Please don’t buy them for your kids as they will loose interest after little while and they will become YOUR pets.
Experience in fish keeping is required.
We want them to go to a home where they will spend rest of their life not just 1-2 years and then get rehomed. They can’t be released in to the wild as it’s illegal and they probably won’t survive.
So if you a turtle keeper and already keep turtles then get in touch.
