We rehomed this lovely boy about a month ago and unfortunately it has not been a good match.
He is a wonderful dog with a very nice temperament but sadly he has a few quirks that we were not made aware of before rehoming him that are just not compatible with my young family.
Despite being a year old he still puppy nips in play, but a with the strength of a big dog - he could have this trained out of him but with young children in the house I am not happy to wait and see how long this will take. For the record has had never ‘bitten’ in anger and it is certainly in play and he has never played this way with my children.
He is crate trained and has basic commands (sit and wait being his strongest). His recall isn’t brilliant and he does pull on his leash. He is fantastic with toilet training.
He is a lovely dog and when he is calm and settled he is a cuddly, relaxed joy.
With the right environment to have good training he will be a fantastic companion but unfortunately with his size and my toddler it’s just not an option for us to wait whilst he is trained.
He will come with his bed, crate, toys, leash, food and bowls. For the right home he has everything he needs to ‘get on’ with being a family pet.
If you have young children please don’t enquire - he does not have the right temperament for children (or cats!).
