Meet Teddy, the 9 month Cockapoo who has been with us since he was 9 weeks old.
Teddy is utterly gorgeous, he is the best companion you could ask for. He loves you more than life. He loves nothing more than going on adventures, walks, playing with you and snuggles.
Teddy is house trained & will wait at the back door patiently to go to the toilet, he knows how to sit, paw, high 5, lie down, down, leave it. He sleeps in a crate at night however, he would much prefer to sleep with his family (we just couldn’t have him in our room with us so he begrudgingly sleeps downstairs). He is fabulous with children, he can be boisterous when playing with them & use his mouth- ideally best with older children (currently with a 4 and 6 year old who make him become very hyper- he’s great when it’s just adults)
Some would say he can be too friendly with other animals, he is well suited to another lively/ full of energy dog- he will play for ages nicely with a fellow energetic dog on walks. He can bug those not so on his level with his desire to play.
We are heartbreakingly making the decision to find Teddy a more suitable home due to Teddy really needing someone around all the time. We have tried having a dog walker whilst we work but Teddy still suffers with separation anxiety and in turn, chews anything he can get his mouth on when we are out, including our children’s belongings, our children have to play upstairs or look over their shoulders when playing with toys because he snaffles them which is unfair to them, and him for constantly being told to leave it. Our resident cat can’t get away with him either, sadly. Teddy really needs someone who works from home/ hybrid/ retired so he has that constant companionship he desperately desires. It breaks our hearts because we love him so very much, but we need to do the right thing for him to be happiest.
