Barney is a cheeky chappie who can't help but make you laugh. Curious, lively, bouncy and alert, this 2 year old heartthrob just loves attention. He is being rehomed through no fault of his own, his current carers took him in when his previous owner became homeless.
Our assessor was very taken with Barney, describing him as a friendly boy with not a nasty bone in his body. He is very excitable but he hasn't had the guidance a youngster should have had, he therefore needs a new owner that will give him clear boundaries, he is very eager to learn.
Although Barney hasn't lived with another dog he does have the potential to live with a female companion pending successful introductions, he isn't cat friendly. Due to his excitable nature Barney cannot be rehomed with young children.
Barney adores his toys and will happily play tug and fetch. He takes treats gently and shows no signs of resource guarding at all.
He loves being out on a walk and although it has been reported that he can pull, our assessor found it easy to gain his attention and get him walking to heel. His ideal home would include plenty of walks and stimulation to compliment his ongoing training.
Barney is such a delightful boy that has so much to offer his new owner, preferably with previous breed experience. He is a complete sweetheart that will make someone a great companion and best friend. If you are interested please get in touch,
